      Electrolyte Mixing Instructions

Water temperature for mixing electrolytes should be 110-120 degrees F. When electrolytes are delivered to the animal it should be 105 degrees F. Do not mix electrolytes in milk or milk replacer. Mix electrolytes at the following rate:
Large animals (calves, foals, elk calves):
      • Dissolve 1 scoop of powder in 2 quarts of water.
      • Feed 2 quarts per 100 pounds of body weight every 6-8 hours.
Small ruminants (kids, lambs, pigs, deer, alpacas, llamas):
      • Dissolve 1 scoop of powder into 2 quarts of water.
      • Feed 3.5 ounces per 5 pounds of body weight every 6-8 hours.

Mixes great

Both our calves and sheep drink the Land O Lakes electrolytes with ease. They used to fight us when we tried to feed another brand but the Land O Lakes brand dissolves so much better, that they drink it down.
